Managing Director Laura Webber started her career in 2004, when she and her husband set up a thriving limousine company, in Plymouth. She later went on to work for the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency, formerly VOSA, and spent over 10 years as a Traffic Examiner, specialising in tachograph fraud.
She obtained her HGV Class 2 licence in 2004.
She self funded her international management CPC in 2013, and a masters degree in 2015. Continuing various avenues of education thereafter, she most recently obtained a TPECS Lead Auditor for Quality Management Systems. She is now qualified to audit various systems in relation to ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 19011:2018 compliance, as well as standards relating to Goods Vehicle Operator Licence undertakings.
During her time at DVSA, she worked alongside multiple Police forces, conducting large scale criminal investigations, roadside collision and fatality investigations, auditing transport operations, and providing advice and education to drivers and operators. She was also part of the European TISPOL working group for tachograph fraud.
After leaving DVSA, Laura re-joined the private sector, as a Regional Transport Manager, for a global firm. Managing a fleet of 29 trucks and 33 drivers, covering the South of the UK, until starting up LW Transport Solutions Plymouth Ltd in September 2023. Also a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
